Everbridge Emergency Preparedness

Everbridge Emergency Preparedness

Everbridge is a system-wide mass communication system, which allows health system
leadership to notify partners of an event (or emergency) that may affect the safety of our
partners or facilities. Everbridge is similar to programs used by other organizations such as
schools, city government. Through Everbridge, partners receive an email or notification on
their cell/home phones, alerting them of the situation, asking a question, or providing follow-up instructions (if applicable).

How Everbridge works
When an alert is activated, partners receive an email, text message or automated phone
call. Depending on the urgency of the message, Everbridge may continue to email, text or
call until the message has been confirmed as “received” by the partner. Partners are
prompted on how to confirm each message.
If contact information changes, partners are responsible for updating the information in the
emergency contact section through HR Vital Link/MyHR.
